Online Drawing Groups |
Join Catherine Pilgrim for live online tutored Drawing Groups aimed at beginners and intermediate draughts-people looking to improve their skills in observational drawing.
Work with Catherine and a small group of fellow students on exercises to improve ‘seeing’, while also reinforcing fundamentals such as gesture, tone and proportion.
Using Zoom and supplied materials (from any quiet and convenient location) we will work towards inspiring you to take your drawing further.
Catherine has been running her highly successful and popular sessions since 2014.
Catherine Pilgrim learnt to draw in Australia and Washington DC and has been exhibiting consistently for almost thirty years. Her work can be found in Public and Corporate Collections including the National Gallery of Australia, Geelong Regional Gallery, Castlemaine Art Museum and the Australian War Memorial. Catherine’s approach is skill based while also aligned with the inclusive philosophy of the Campaign for Drawing, who promote drawing to learn, rather than learning to draw. Catherine’s Masters of Fine Art research (Monash University) was based around the subjective process of making a representational drawing. Catherine has also completed a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Term Two 2023 – New group
Monday Afternoons 12.30pm to 2.30pm
Dates for Term 2 - (eight weeks)
Mondays 12.30pm to 2.30pm
April 24th to 19th June 2023
(no session King's Birthday long weekend 12th June)
Strictly limited to ten participants. These groups are usually ongoing - commitment is term by term.

How it works...
Once your term fees are paid I will post you a box of materials - usually one to two weeks prior to our start date.
We will meet online each week via Zoom with a variety of drawing and discussion time. Classes will be held live with some demonstrations pre recorded (so you have special access to those after each session to review).
